Bryn
Bryn, a native of suburban Philadelphia, attended the University of Delaware and works in the fast-paced fashion world by day. She spends every waking moment thinking of her next meal. Bryn is happiest when she is busy and has a lot of projects in the works. She is trying to make it to all 50 states and loves exploring other countries through food and design. In her free time Bryn loves to do yoga, bike, and sit in the shade reading a good book.
Matt
Matt (who everybody calls Martinez) is a native of West Palm Beach, Florida. He took the first flight out of the Sunshine State after high school and attended the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). He is a software developer by day and an insufferable food and drink snob by night. In his free time, Martinez gets excited about any process that involves taking raw, natural ingredients and turning them into something special, whether it is making coffee, smoking meat, cooking and baking, brewing beer or some amazing combination of all the above.
Hartzell + Martinez = Hartinez
Bryn and Martinez met in Belize in 2009 on a church mission trip. After Martinez played hard to get for 6 months, Bryn forced him to be her boyfriend so that she could have someone to travel the world with. They were married 5 years later but they have been equal parts of a great travel team since day 1. Each one pushes the other a bit outside their comfort zone; Matt makes Bryn a bit more adventurous and Bryn makes Matt a bit less of a wild animal and they both have a blast while doing it.
